ALUMNI CLASS-WIDE GIVING COMPETITION
ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR - 2020-2021
The Alumni Class-Wide Giving Competition was birth from the committee's desire to still raise funds for both schools, despite being in the middle of a global pandemic. Because we would not be able to safely host our annual "Bowling With A Purpose" Bowling Tournament, we substituted that event with the next best thing. We knew we would have to come up with something clever and appealing to make it work and many alumni and community supporters graciously contributed to the cause.
The First Annual Alumni Class-Wide Giving Competition took place just three weeks prior to the 51st Northwest Classic game. In that short amount of time and with the help of alumni classes from several eras, we were able to raise $13,320. That's $3,320 in excess of the $10,000 goal originally set and we have you all to thank for it! We are honored that alumni, old and new, participated in this activity that blessed not only the school administrators, but senior students as well.
Each principal received a total of $3,330 each and funds were presented at half-time on Northwest Classic game day. In addition, there is $3,330 in available student scholarship funds for any William M. Raines or Jean Ribault Senior High School graduating senior in good standing. Students now have an opportunity to apply for available academic or specialty scholarships being offered.
The Alumni Class-Wide Giving Competition is not meant to replace the bowling tournament but expected to be a compliment to that event, resulting in a huge step up to our fundraising efforts during the Northwest Classic celebration period.
The success of our events are due to classmates, alumni, school administrators and staff, teachers, students, friends and family that support us and we can't thank you enough. We look forward to repeating this competition for years to come!

SHARE IN THE FUN
Grateful is an understatement when we reminisce about the level of participation experienced through the alumni giving challenge. Below is a gallery of graphic art designs created on behalf of alumni, business owners, and supporters that contributed $50.00 or more towards the alumni competition. Many requested images in memory of transitioned loved ones, school pride, class pride, business advertisements, northwest classic game bantor, and celebration of family legacies. Whatever you desire, we do our best to make it happen!
We are eternally grateful to our business partners who so graciously support our efforts of enhancing the lives of students at both Wiliam M. Raines and Jean Ribault Senior High Schools.
